Meet the Teachers

My name is Laura Anasa. I live in Port Washington with my husband and 2 teenage sons.
I have a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from St. John’s University.
I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade and Pre-K. I am active in my church. I am Armenian. I have taught many years of Sunday school at my parish in Queens, NY. I knew at a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher. Although I LOVED being home to raise my sons, I am thrilled to be back in the classroom.

Hi, my name is Dolly Marquez and I am the lead in the Infant room at Trinity Episcopal Church Roslyn Childcare Center. I love working with children and I have more than 5 years of experience working with children from birth to middle school aged.
Since childhood I have dreamed of becoming a teacher. One reason I enjoy working with children so much is the uniqueness of every child. I love children and believe that each is special in their own personal way. I love to watch them grow and discover new everyday experiences in life. I treat each child as if they were my own because I know how I want my children to be treated. And being a mom, I know how important it is to make parents feel that their child is safe and secure while they are in my care.
The Glory be to God. 😊

My name is Alison Magro, and I am the second lead in the infant room at Trinity Episcopal Church Roslyn Childcare Center. I was born and raised here on Long Island in the small neighborhood of Glen Head, and for as long as I can remember, I have been working with children. My friends tell me that I really light up when babies are around. I have always found great joy working with infants and young children. I am the family and neighborhood “babysitter”. I have a certificate of Teaching Assistance from Nassau Community College and in July 2017 I will begin class study to complete a Child Development Associate (CDA). One reason I love working with children is because they bring a smile to my face every day, and they are just so adorable.

My name is Rebecca Hye-soo Baek and I was born in Seoul, Korea. I came to the USA with my family when I was three years old. I have two siblings, one older and one younger. Currently I live in Flushing, NY, before that I lived in Little Neck for more than 20 years. I had attended middle and high school in Bayside, NY and attended College in upstate New York. I majored in Psychology and minored in Voice. Ever since I was young, I wanted to work with children of all ages, nurturing and helping them grow to be good people. Sometimes it is a challenge, but one that is worth it! Growing up my parents told me I was a troublemaker, but really, I was just a very confident and free-spirited youngster! That’s why I feel a closeness to children and love being around them! They bring such an exciting and joyous spirit!
